Mâcon, the Best Kept Secret of Burgundy.
The highly-respected, native Burgundian Peter Wasserman presented this advanced class on wines of the Mâconnais on October 12, 2017, in Dallas. Wasserman explained how, thanks to visionaries like his mother, Becky Wasserman, Burgundy has come to be revered as perhaps the most seductive, complex, and food-friendly of wines. Along with this recognition, unfortunately, have arrived scarcity, snobbery, and vertiginous pricing. The seminar, with curated tasting, made it clear that fine examples of white Burgundy from this excellent but under-appreciated Burgundy region remain available at relatively modest prices.
